My heart…
“When I accepted Christ as my
personal Savior in 1976, I immediately became burdened for others. I knew of so many like myself that had been
members of a church or religious denomination, but not really understanding the
Bible was the Word of God and that salvation was only through believing in the
Lord Jesus Christ’ atonement for all our sin. I was so overjoyed in knowing the
truth that I immediately became involved in learning how to lead others to
Christ and how to be the Christian God would have me to be that I might
rightfully disciple others.
After several years of service in
our local church, God led me to attend a ladies’ Summer Institute at Tennessee
Temple University. One of the topics was “How to Really Love Your Husband”. I
learned so much from the Bible and practical teaching that was helpful to me
and really improved my relationship with my husband. I was very excited and
soon received permission from our pastor to teach these things to the ladies of
our church. We met twice weekly for two-hour sessions for 6 weeks. Little did I know that this would be the
start of a life-long ministry of speaking, teaching and counseling women.
As the years have come and gone, I
have been privileged to teach and speak to ladies about our Wonderful God and
His Wonderful Plan for our lives. The Bible has much to say about women and how
much God loves them and wants them to be joyful in loving and serving Him. I
just love to share His Word to encourage, and instruct those before me!
I have also been privileged to teach the How to Really Love Your Husband course not
only in churches since that time, but also for the last 14 years have presented
this at Bob Jones University, to students and others in the community. I have also developed an internet ministry www.joythatlasts.com which has
been another avenue to reach and teach. And now that my children are grown,
I am really enjoying the opportunities
to travel anywhere for speaking engagements.
If you would desire to get your
ladies together for a Christ-centered banquet, seminar, or overnight ladies
retreat I am available and would love to serve you. In the local area, it may
be possible to teach the 12-hour marriage course at your church location to
your ladies. If you need help with a theme, topic, or structuring and
coordinating your event, I am glad to assist with that as well. I look forward
to working with you.”
